Jon: Founder

Ben loves to speak up for himself and others.
He is 25 years old, and proud to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Ben has Down syndrome and autism.
Ben has 3 other jobs!
He helps a youth health group give advice to the government.
He tells the Australian government about disability needs.
He is a Digital Champion for Down Syndrome Australia.
He works with a radio station.
He is a Community Researcher at Flinders University.
Ben is also a graduate of the Up The Hill Project at Flinders University and has a Certificate II in Media Arts.

He wants all disabled people to feel supported.

Zac: Co-developer and Ambassador

🧒 He is a young man with Kabuki syndrome and intellectual disability.
💬 He shares real-life ideas to help the team do better work.
💻 Zac has a Certificate III in Information Technology.
🧾 He is a content producer at The Growing Space.
🎤 He gives talks as a Moonlight Speaker with Community Bridging Services.
🧑🦽 He was part of the NDIS Participant Reference Group.
🧑🏫 He also gives advice to a group called SACID.
🎙️ Zac speaks clearly to teach others about accessibility and inclusion.
👂 People listen to Zac because he talks from real experience.
🛠️ He helps build and speak about Make it Easy so it truly helps real people.
Their Family
Jon and Sam are siblings, raised by their inspirations, Mum and Nana Lois, an extraordinary special education teacher, who fostered a love of lifelong learning, and Dad and Grandpa Alex, a refugee who became a lawyer and made sure his kids knew they could achieve anything they wanted. Their sister Ali also runs Make it easy’s marketing and social media.
So, wanting a world where communication is accessible, and knowing we could make that happen, has been a dream come true in Make it easy.
