Welcome to Make It Easy!
- Make It Easy helps turn hard words into easy ones.
- You can use this app to:
- Change words into Easy English, Easy Read, or Plain English
- Take a photo of words and make them easy
- Upload a file or copy a web link
- Ask a question and get a simple answer
- Listen to the words read out loud
- Speak instead of typing – Use your phone’s microphone to say words instead of writing them
- Take a photo of anything – The app will describe what is in the photo
1. Setting Up Your Profile
Steps:
- Tap on your profile picture to change it.
- Enter your first name and last name.
- Add your email address and phone number (if you want to).
- Press the green Save button to keep your details.
2. Home Screen - Making an EasySnap
Steps:
- Choose how you want to change words:
- 📸 Camera – Take a picture (The app can also describe what is in the photo)
- 🖼 My Photos – Choose a photo from your phone
- 📂 Upload a file – Pick a document
- 🔗 Link – Copy and paste a website link
- ❓ Ask a question – Type a question to get an easy answer
- 📝 Paste words – Copy text from another app or use your phone’s microphone to speak instead of typing
- The app will change the words into Easy English, Easy Read, or Plain English.
- Tap the green play button 🔊 to hear the text read out loud.
3. Viewing Your EasySnaps
Steps:
- Scroll through your past EasySnaps.
- Tap on an EasySnap to read or listen to it.
- Use the search bar to find an old EasySnap.
- Blue text means it’s clickable:
- Websites, phone numbers, and email addresses in blue can be tapped to open.
- Underlined blue words will show a pop-up that explains a hard word, which can also be read aloud.
4. Settings Page
Steps:
- Choose how the app works for you:
- 🎵 How Easy? – Choose how simple you want words to be
- 😊 Emojis – Turn emojis on or off
- 🔊 Voices – Pick a voice for reading out text
- 👤 About Me – Edit your profile
- 💳 Subscription – Check your plan
- ❓ FAQs – Find answers to common questions
- 📜 Terms & Privacy – Read the app rules
- 🗣 Feedback – Send us your thoughts
- 🕒 History – Look at your past EasySnaps
- 🚨 Delete Account – Remove your account
- 🚪 Logout – Sign out of the app
5. Choosing Your EasySnap Level
Steps:
- Choose how easy you want words to be:
- ✅ Easy English – Very simple words
- 🟠 Easy Read – Short sentences
- 🔴 Plain English – Simple but complete sentences and paragraphs
6. Choosing a Voice
Steps:
- Move the slider to make the voice faster or slower.
- Tap the green play button ▶️ to hear and choose the voices.
- Choose the voice you like best.
7. EasySnap Translation Features
- Switching Levels – Use the row of one, two, or three dot options at the top to switch between the three translation levels.
- Info Button (ℹ️) – Tap this to learn about each part of the app and how to use it.
- Back Arrow (↩️) – Use this to go back to the previous screen.
- Home Button (🏠) – This takes you back to the main home screen with the six main buttons.
- Giving Feedback – At the bottom of each EasySnap:
- 👍 Thumbs up – If the translation was good.
- 👎 Thumbs down – If something was wrong (it will ask you to explain).
- Speaker Button 🔊 – Tap to hear the EasySnap read out loud.
- Sharing Your EasySnap – Tap the dart 🎯 to email, text, or share on social media (includes the photo if it was from an image).
8. App Uses Your Phone’s Settings
- Font Size & Language: The app matches your phone’s font size and language settings. If you have larger text or a different language set, the app will use those settings to make reading easier.
